On March 31st, we commemorated the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha, Irpin, and Hostomel. As a tribute, the Sikorski Polish Club hosted a screening of Viktor Storm's film, which offered a firsthand account of the events that occurred in Hostomel from February 24th to March 12th, 2022.
The film features documentary footage of the early days of the conflict and recounts the story of the neighbors in one house who worked together to break free from occupation. It is a powerful testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit in times of adversity.
We are deeply grateful to the Sikorski Polish Club for hosting this event and providing a welcoming space for the Ukrainian community. I would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kateryna O Campbell, Eugene Chub, and Yevgen Gorash for their invaluable assistance and support in organizing the screening. Additionally, we are especially thankful to the Consul of Ukraine in Edinburgh, Mr. Andrii Kuslii, for connecting us with "Гольфстрім Продакшн" (Gulfstream production) and Mr. Victor Shtorm for granting us permission to screen the film.
