To remember, celebrate and thank Poland’s Armed Forces our Society is holding an event starting at 1030 on the morning of Saturday 18 August.

The event takes place at the Polish Memorial Garden in Douglas which is situated at the end of Main Street at the entrance to the Douglas Estate (see map photo). The picture below of Sikorski and his troops was taken at that location.

The event will comprise of wreath laying, Polish Mass (thank you Father Marian), Gosciniec performance (thank you), speeches (thank you Consul General) and an early light lunch in the local St Bride’s Hall.

We are celebrating Poland’s Armed Forces so the Event will mostly be in the Polish language.

Members are encouraged to attend and bring guests. The event is open to all, members and non members.

A good turn out would be great to show our support for our Armed Forces of yesterday and today.

Hope to see you there.

Chris Sagan
Chairperson
